Whether or not you are passionate about FromSoftware products , you will surely have heard of the big problems of the online of the Dark Souls III, which for months forced the Japanese company to disable all the multiplayer features of the series. A few days after the servers return to activity, other problems emerge.
Here is the message shared through the official social channels:
At this time, there is a confirmed issue with DARK SOULS III online play via the Steam platform. We are investigating the source of the problem and will inform you as soon as more details become available. Thank you for your patience.
Taking a look at the Steam forums, it can be seen that in the last few hours the reports of players who cannot start the game and are forced to disable all online features have increased dramatically . There is even someone who has created a mod to make the game connect to unofficial servers, in order to get around the problem (in any case we advise against such procedures, as they could lead to the ban). Unfortunately it is not clear what the problem is and it is not excluded that it is something whose solution will arrive in a much shorter time than what has been seen in recent months.
