GSC Game World broke the silence and issued a statement on the events in Ukraine. The developers are asking for help and confirming that although the future is unknown, the developers are confident in the armed forces.
Yesterday we informed about the concerns of developers who confirmed that they have lived in fear for a long time, but today in the morning Russian army launched an attack on Ukraine. We didn’t have to wait long, and the developers of STALKER 2 decided to issue a statement:
“The Russian Federation has declared war on Ukraine.
The future is unknown, but we are confident in our Armed Forces and our country.
We ask everyone: do not stand aside and help those in need.
Support the Armed Forces of Ukraine: UA843000010000000047330992708 “
“As of today, the Russian federation has officially declared war on Ukraine. Our country woke up to the sound of explosions and gunshots, but it is ready to defend its freedom and independence, because we remain the engine and ready for anything. The future is unknown, but we hope for the best, we are always confident in our armed forces and our faith in Ukraine.
So we go to all our gaming colleagues, gamers, bloggers and everyone who sees this post on their newsfeed: share it, stay on the sidelines and help those in need.
A special aid account supporting the armed forces of Ukraine:

Transfers are possible from all over the world.
Through pain, death, war, fear and inhuman cruelty, Ukraine will survive. Like always”
The same message appeared on the official Twitter of GSC Game World, which has been developing games from Kiev since 1995. Currently, the representatives of the studio have not confirmed whether they are safe, but the next news from Ukraine is terrifying.
Frogwares, the developers behind the Sherlock games, also posted the following:
“We cannot stand idly by. Russia attacks our homeland and denies Ukraine sovereignty. We try to be safe, but this is war, there is no help for it.
We call on everyone to force Putin to withdraw from our lands #StopRussianAgggression “
“We are a peaceful nation and in all the years since independence we have never attacked or threatened anyone.
Because of this situation, our work will be at risk and our lives may be destroyed. “
Vostok Games, a studio from Kiev, the creators of Fear the Wolves, only published a picture of the flag:
