According to information shared by Jez Corden, a new multiplayer action brawler Crash Bandicoot game is in development.
Activision Blizzard may have a new Crash Bandicoot game in the pipeline , defined as a ” multiplayer action platformer brawler “, according to the latest rumors launched by Jez Corden.
During the latest episode of The Xbox Two podcast, the Windows Central reporter stated that one of the Activision Blizzard studios is working on a game codenamed “Project Lava” that will star Crash Bandicoot and companions.
Corden claims he saw a gameplay video of the game about six months ago and is unaware of the current status of the project, describing it as a “3D action multiplayer platform brawler”. He compared it to Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare and Bleeding Edge, Ninja Theory’s multiplayer brawler, with a greater focus on completing objectives and using special abilities.
Corden added that the Project Lava studio was apparently relocated by Activision to support work on Call of Duty, which needed all possible resources to meet deadlines. However, in his opinion it is likely that the development of the game is back in full swing and that the company could reveal it in the near future.
Just a few days ago, Toys for Bob, the studio that worked on Crash Bandicoot 4 and Spyro, practically confirmed that it will soon announce a new game. Is it really Project Lava? We’ll see.
