He claims that GSC Game World is overseeing the development of the port.
The fact that the assembly of the console version of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, the creation of which is allegedly supervised by the GSC Game World studio, got into the network, was reported by a blogger under the nickname nevajno1kto. He published a 4 GB archive with the build itself and instructions for running it. Judging by the comments on the network, some players managed to launch the game.
The archive contains a certain assembly “STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl” with controller support, an updated interface, redesigned inventory, and management tips. In addition, there are some gameplay changes and additional animations, such as dialogues.
The blogger claims that this is an early build of the STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl console port, which GSC Game World is working on in parallel with the second part of the shooter. The author of the leak said that the studio only oversees the project, and another company is creating a port on a modified X-Ray Engine.
Whether this is actually an early build of the “STALKER” console port or a fan modified version of the game is unclear. The studio GSC Game World has not yet commented on a possible leak. The company itself has not announced a console port of the shooter.
