Already on October 28, the horror Resident Evil Village will receive a plot addition called Shadows of Rose , the events of which will unfold 16 years after the finale of the main story and will focus on Rose Winters.
But as it became known thanks to the insider Dusk Golem, the developers initially planned to dedicate the plot expansion to Chris Redfield, as was the case with the Not a Hero add-on for the seventh part .
Such a DLC would tell players about the experiences of Chris Redfield after the events of Resident Evil Village. In it, the authors wanted to show the protagonist morally crushed and suffering from guilt, which also had a negative impact on his mental state .
However, according to an insider, the developers at Capcom decided to shelve this idea, instead focusing entirely on how to make a worthy conclusion to the Winters family story arc in the Rose expansion, which will run for about four hours.
As a reminder, in addition to the story expansion, the Winters Expansion downloadable pack will be released on October 28, which will include both the story expansion about Rose and a third-person mode, along with an expanded mode “Mercenaries” with Chris Redfield, Lady Dimitrescu and Karl Heisenberg as playable characters.
