Michał Nowakowski of CD Projekt RED said the Polish company plans to expand Cyberpunk’s IP following the Phantom Liberty expansion.
Phantom Liberty will also be the only Cyberpunk 2077 expansion planned, but CD Projekt RED said it has every intention of further expanding the IP in the future, thus suggesting the arrival of a new game.
During the latest meeting with shareholders, Michał Nowakowski, SVP of business development, confirmed again that Phantom Liberty will be the first and also the last expansion of Cyberpunk 2077, but also added that the Polish company has big plans for the future. of the brand and not only with regard to video games.
“On the question on further expansions for Cyberpunk, we decided to develop one major expansion for Cyberpunk which is going to take advantage of all the capabilities of the new-gen consoles,” said Nowakowski.
“Having said that, we’re fully committed to developing the Cyberpunk IP further, so beyond this particular Cyberpunk expansion. We’ve put a lot of effort and time into building this franchise and we definitely want to continue to build upon what was built right now with new stories, new experiences, new content, not just in a video game format, but I’ll leave it here.
“So, in terms of expansions, there’s going to be just one major expansion, however there’s going be new stuff in the future.”
CD Projekt RED also revealed that they are working on two triple A games at the same time , one of which is the new The Witcher. The other is still shrouded in mystery. To find out, however, we will probably have to wait a long time.
