According to Bloomberg , the next Call of Duty , which will be released this year, will continue the events of Modern Warfare II. Activision wants the new game to feel like a complete next installment .
Currently, the developers plan to transfer maps and modes from Modern Warfare II to the new Call of Duty, however, release plans may change . At the same time, the project is unlikely to receive the number “III” in the title.
Initially, Modern Warfare II was planned to be a large-scale expansion with single-player content and new maps for multiplayer. As a result, it has become a full-fledged game from Sledgehammer Games – this is Call of Duty 2023 .
Details of the new game have not been revealed.
