Already last week, the first reports of one character of Battlefield 2042 appeared. The developers admitted that Emma “Sundance” Rosier is a non-binary person, which had a direct impact on the content of the description presented on the game website.
Last week, DICE released a very interesting trailer that showed off five new specialists from Battlefield 2042. Fans of shooting from the launch will have access to 10 classes, including Emma “Sundance” Rosier, who has a lot of explosives in her arsenal and instead of a parachute may use a wingsuit.
DICE did not reveal too many details about the character, but its description caught the attention of even Polish players because it looks like this:
“Sundance definitely likes to live on the edge. He is a gifted and fearless opponent who has lived two very different lives. First as a model soldier in Armée de Terre. The second – earlier and much darker – as a trusted associate of one of the most influential Parisian crime syndicates. The latter, unfortunately, has come back and led to the premature end of Sundance’s military career. “
The issue was raised by one of the “Battlefield partners” (developer program), while the chief community manager responded to the news, confirming that Sundance is a non-binary character and uses the pronouns “They / Them” .
We have known for a long time that the Swedish studio will not develop a story mode for Battlefield 2042 , but the team does not resign from emphasizing the individual character of the specialists. Characters will not only be distinguished by unique skills, but also slightly different experiences from the front.
