The next players log into the servers of the latest DICE game and some of those interested demand that the Swedish studio change one of the skins. The creators added the “Little Green Men” skin to Battlefield 2042, which is to directly refer to the annexation of Crimea by Russia.
From its launch, Battlefield 2042 offers players access to 10 specialists who can acquire various weapons and skins. To be honest, I haven’t seen any special skinheads in the costumes of the soldiers, but the fans from Ukraine saw an unexpected situation.
The Swedish studio DICE has decided to add the “Little Green Man” skin to Battlefield 2042, which, according to them, is to directly relate to the events of 2014.
The player presented two sources from Wikipedia, which confirm that the phrase “Little Green Men” and the appearance of the soldiers themselves refer to the annexation of Crimea by Russia. There is a little change from “Men” to “Man” here, but it’s easy to get the context.
“The phrase” Little Green Men “refers to masked soldiers of the Russian Federation in unmarked green military uniforms and carrying modern Russian military weapons and equipment that emerged during the 2014 Ukrainian crisis.
DICE should definitely react to the news, as more players want to change the skin and explain why it was added to production.
