In 2022, we will not see a completely new version of the Assassin’s adventures, but Ubisoft is preparing a huge addition to the world of Vikings, thanks to which we will visit completely new worlds and meet mythological characters. And it looks as if the French company has envied the splendor of the God of War series.

The upcoming expansion is not all the surprises Ubisoft has in store for fans. Tomorrow, Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories, stories featuring Eivor and Kassandra / Alexios, will hit the market. These are two stories combining separate games from the world of Assassin’s Creed, in which we will find ourselves on completely new islands, and the heroes of two separate productions will join forces for the first time in the history of the series. Thus, in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla there will be a free mission with Eivor and Kassandra, and the second free mission with Kassandra or Alexios will appear in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

To play the mission “A Fated Encounter” in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players must reach Settlement Level 4 and complete the “A Wise Friend” quest in which Eivor helps Valce settle in Ravensthorpe. For the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey story, “Those Who Are Treasured”, players will need to complete Chapter 1 and reach Megaris to access this content. It is recommended that players complete the three story arcs from the main game (Family, Cosmic Cult, and Mythology) to avoid unnecessary spoilers.
The new, huge expansion to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be a much more interesting treat. Dawn of Ragnarök, as the accessory will be called, is being developed in the Ubisoft Sofia studio. This time, the creators outline the subject of Norse mythology even more, including the pantheon of gods. Eivor will have to fulfill his destiny as Odin, the Norse god of battle and wisdom. The kingdom of the dwarves of Svartalfheim is falling apart, and in the midst of chaos, Baldur, Odin’s beloved son, was taken captive, to help whom we will go to new lands. We will visit huge dungeons, Jotunheim or Asgard, we will fight with completely new opponents, and some of them resemble ice giants straight from Game of Thrones.

The area of operation will be huge and in terms of scale, we will get an area of 1/3 the size of the basic version of Valhalla. The add-on will focus heavily on story events, guaranteeing us over 35 hours of gameplay. We will also collect the powers of fallen enemies, thanks to which we will be able to upgrade Eivor’s skills and weapons. There will also be side missions in this completely new arena, where we will fight against dangerous opponents.

The fiery giant Surt, who is behind the kidnapping and is also known to fans of Norse mythology, will unleash completely new powers. Fire and Ice will be the theme of Dawn of Ragnarok, and players will be able to, for example, revive defeated opponents to fight on their side. In addition, we won’t have to wait until fall. We will play the title on March 10 next year. On this occasion, Ubisoft announced that players who purchase Dawn of Ragnarok between December 13, 2021 – April 9, 2022 will receive the Twilight Pack and have immediate access to it in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The bonus includes the Raven Delinger’s Messenger, Havard’s Mount, the Twilight Set and Algurnir’s Ax.
