According to Jeff Grubb’s sources, one of the Assassin’s Creed Infinity locations will be Japan.
According to journalist and well-known insider Jeff Grubb , Assassin’s Creed Infinity will be set in Japan , thus fulfilling the wishes of many fans who were clamoring for a game of the series set in the land of the samurai.
The tip came during the Game Mess Decides podcast, where Grubb said he heard from his sources that Japan will be one of the locations for AC Infinity, the game in the series that supposedly comes out after “Rift”, which instead seems to be set in Baghdad according to journalist Jason Schreier . Grubb also added that his sources have described Infinity as an RPG with a huge open world , therefore in line with the last chapters of the series.
As we know Assassin’s Creed Infinity will not only be a new chapter in the series, but also a live service platform , developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Quebec, which will expand over the years with new content . According to rumors, the game will present multiple settings , so beyond Japan (if confirmed) the players will visit other locations and different time periods.
The future of the Assassin’s Creed series will be revealed during Ubisoft Forward on September 10th . For the occasion, there will probably be space for the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Rift , but some anticipation on the ambitious Infinity project cannot be excluded a priori.
