Announced at D23 , Amy Hennig ‘s untitled Captain America-Black Panther Marvel game will be a team-up story, but technically, players will only be playing single-player without co-op.
The game’s lack of co-op was confirmed by Hanning in an interview with IGN :
“Narratively yes, gameplay mechanics-wise no”
According to Hennig, her new project aims to replicate what they did with Uncharted , where the game allowed the experience to be shared behind the same screen through the interaction of different characters, even if only one player was actually playing.
The game will take place during the Second World War and will focus on the confrontation of four characters with the Hydra, among which will be Captain America, Black Panther (Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather), Warring Commando soldier Gabe Jones and Wakanda warrior from the Dora Milaj unit.
Platforms, release dates and other details are not yet available.
