Amy Hennig returns to the helm of a project focused on Star Wars : the creator of Uncharted , together with her studio Skydance New Media , is in fact working on a new game focused on the historic franchise created by George Lucas . Apart from this confirmation, however, there are no more details.
The company, in fact, has limited itself to stating that the work will be ” richly cinematic action-adventure game featuring an original story“, without however making any mention of a possible launch window, or the platforms that will host the game. For Hennig this is a second chance with the iconic brand: the game designer had already worked on an ambitious title based on Star Wars when she was still part of Visceral Games , but the closure of the studio wrecked the entire project forever. .
” I’ve often described how seeing Star Wars in 1977 essentially rewired my 12-year-old brain, shaping my creative life and future indelibly,” Hennig said in a news release. “I’m elated to be working with Lucasfilm Games again to tell interactive stories in this galaxy that I love.”.
This is not the only title that the famous designer is carrying out: Skydance is developing a triple-A game based on Marvel , although there is very little information on this other work at the moment. Returning to Star Wars, this is the umpteenth project in progress linked to the galaxy far away, in addition to others previously confirmed: for the insider Jeff Grubb Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 will be announced in May 2022 , during the Star Wars Celebration that it will be held from the 26th to the 29th of that month.
