Are you waiting for A Plague Tale: Requiem ? For fans of the first part, this is probably one of the most important premieres of 2022 and it is not surprising. The project is to debut on October 18 this year, and all the materials so far (from screenshots to trailers) promise us an above-average adventure that will significantly surpass its predecessor.
The new information that comes from the creators themselves only seems to confirm this. The team from Focus Entertainment has recently decided to share a few curiosities related to the world and how everything will change compared to the first part. And as we know, the action is to take place three years after the final of A Plague Tale: Innocence , so quite a lot could change – especially considering the young age of the characters:
“Hugo’s powers are developing — he will struggle to keep them under control and sometimes, they’ll overthrow him. Although they will be key for him to escape dangerous situations, the young boy will need to resist the risk of giving in to his powers,” says Renard. As for Amicia, her fighting ability will “backfire” on her. “She won’t have any option but to take on this role that only she can assume – but she will have to face the traumatic emotions that come with it. Our characters are not superhuman, and our two protagonists will pay the price that becoming a hero entails.”
Interestingly, new characters were also mentioned to be “more mature and experienced” . We will also get new locations (which have already been mentioned some time ago), as well as threats that hide under the guise of an apparent paradise. And although it is difficult to clearly understand what can be concluded from this, it sounds like a sentence that will allow us to accept that in the game we will never be able to feel comfortable and safe.
