There is nothing to hide – when creating big games, developers often have to make concessions. Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar Games did not avoid such a situation. One YouTuber found a very interesting cutscene that suggests there was to be at least one more mission in the game .
Red Dead Redemption 2 – Content removed was for fishing
Kush Qrox dug into the game files for a short and unfinished cutscene. During it, Arthur Morgan, after a possible conversation with the fisherman Jeremy Gill, is given the task of catching fish in locations known from the first installment of the series . Throughout the scene, Morgan makes clear reference to Rio Bravo, and at the end, the New Austin scenery is seen. The cutout itself, although unfinished (no Gill’s model visible), seems to have been removed late in production.
I must admit that such a discovery, especially after many years, awakens the imagination. One may only wonder how much more such content is cut in the Red Dead Redemption 2 code, but also why the developer decided to remove this content . It is possible that thanks to the diligence of dataminers , we will learn more about it in the future.
