Elite: Dangerous players have discovered a star-like anomaly that is most likely a giant alien combat unit.
We recently wrote about starting an open war between humanity and aliens in the Elite: Dangerous universe . There are many indications that it will soon enter a new stage.
- Players discovered a distant object of great size. It appears to be a star, but is shaped like a Thargoid ship.
- Worse, the object is slowly moving towards the territories of humanity.
- The most popular theory in the Elite: Dangerous community is that it is a new alien superweapon. The unit is sometimes referred to as the “Thargoid Death Star” , referring to the famous battle station from the Star Wars universe.
- Adding to the flavor of the case is the fact that the conflict turned into an acute phase after humanity tried to neutralize the aliens with its own superweapon, which, however, proved unsuccessful.
It should be added that all these changes in the virtual galaxy only apply to the PC version. A few months ago, the authors announced that the console editions of Elite: Dangerous will not be developed further.
However, the owners of the PS4 and Xbox One releases will be able to transfer their profiles to PCs and continue the fun there. The authors have just announced that this option will be available next month. A new version of the game called Elite: Dangerous 4.0 is also expected to make its debut on PC in September . Importantly, it will also be available to people who do not own the Odyssey expansion , thanks to which they will be able to enjoy gameplay and engine improvements without having to purchase the DLC.
