Next August 18 arrives at Disney +, the series of Marvel Studios, She-Hulk: Lawyer Hulka, and its director is already thinking of a second season
Marvel Studios premieres in a few days what will be its last Disney+ series that is part of Phase 4, She-Hulk: Lawyer Hulka , starring Tatiana Maslany. But with Marvel fans always looking to the future, questions are already being asked about whether the series will continue with a second season.
So far, the only live-action MCU series to have been renewed for a second season so far is Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, though She-Hulk’s prospects look pretty good too. This evidence came over a year ago, as the merchandise given to the cast and crew was labeled “Season One” , implying that several seasons are already in the works, or at least intend to do more.
Its director reveals that she would do differently in a second season
Earlier in 2022, director Kat Coiro also addressed the possibility of She-Hulk getting a season 2, noting that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was in charge of making the final decision on the matter. Now, thanks to a new exclusive interview with The Direct, Coiro has once again reviewed the chances of Season 2 coming to fruition if the Marvel president gives it the green light.
The Direct asked its director Kat Coiro if she would do anything differently if she had the opportunity to revisit the Jennifer Walters story.
“I mean, what’s so exciting to me is that you have this superhuman law firm premise that lends itself to endless possibilities. You could literally have any character that ever existed in the MCU or ever will walk through these doors, and it wouldn’t feel like a gratuitous cameo. He would feel completely organic. So I think the sky is the limit in terms of what they can do with this trailer.”
Will She-Hulk have more seasons?
The first season of She-Hulk will bring back a ton of incredible supporting characters, from Mark Rufallo’s Hulk, Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky/Abomination, and even Benedict Wong’s current Sorcerer Supreme, Wong. This also includes the first time Charlie Cox suits up as Daredevil at Marvel Studios, which already has fans excited to see him back in action as the devil from Hell’s Kitchen.
The She-Hulk marketing campaign has often touted the series as a legal comedy mixed with a “case of the week” vibe , opening the door for just about any character in the MCU to potentially play a role from episode to episode. . This is especially the case for Jennifer Walters, who specializes in superhuman law, allowing her to be the voice of the biggest names in the franchise should they get into trouble.
Whether She-Hulk gets renewed for a second season remains a mystery, but given her director’s words it may well become a long-running series with many seasons. Imagine a Law and Order but in a Marvel Studios version.
She-Hulk will begin streaming on Disney+ on Thursday, August 18.
