Netflix today shared two announcements regarding the original series available on this VOD platform. Unfortunately, it turns out that the company will not create a continuation of one of its newer productions.
The series entitled First Kill will not be continued after the first season, which was released in June 2022. The story, by Felicia D. Henderson, about a young Juliette who learns that she comes from a family of vampire slayers, will no longer be continued. Such a decision by Netflix may come as a surprise, because it seemed that “The First Kill” enjoyed a lot of interest. The series entered the Top 10 viewership list for two weeks, generating about 50 million watched hours in the first week.
To sweeten this information, Netflix has prepared a short Twitter entry about the “Stranger Things” series. A photo was posted on a blank board with the Stranger Things 5 logo and the caption ‘Day 1’ drawn on it. which suggests that work has already begun on writing a detailed script for new episodes for the fifth season of the series. Therefore, you can expect the start of shooting for new episodes as early as the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023.
