George R.R. Martin Confirms Involvement in the ‘Game of Thrones’ Sequel Series – Working Title is ‘Snow’
Last week’s news about the HBO series dealing with the future of Jon Snow was not official, but now work on the project has been confirmed by George RR Martin himself.
The author of A Song of Ice and Fire said on his blog that The Hollywood Reporter’s report was “largely” correct. The working title of the spin-off is simply “Snow”.
Jon Snow will be played again by Kit Harington, known from “Game of Thrones”. Martin confirms that the series was born out of his idea, and the actor himself even chose the writers and showrunners . The whole team met with the writer to discuss the general outline of the plot.
Game of Thrones fans shouldn’t celebrate too early, however. George RR Martin points out that the show hasn’t officially received the green light yet , so theoretically there’s a chance it won’t see the light of day.
“ This is what I can tell you about ‘Snow’ for now. If HBO allows me to say more, I will , ”promises Martin.
