The character of Mando has been evolving throughout the second season of The Mandalorian and also after his appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, the consequences of his actions will be key in the new season.
The Mandalorian has experienced a small break, but we will soon be able to enjoy it again when its third season arrives in 2023. Season 2 of the series landed on Disney Plus last October 2020, and the following year its characters returned in The book of Boba Fett .
While we await the return of Din Djarin and Grogu , new Star Wars series are appearing on the streaming platform, and new statements are also emerging that bring us closer to the next season of the Mandalorian .
These will be the new challenges for Mando in the third season
Jon Favreau, the creator of The Mandalorian , recently spoke on the Dagobah Dispatch podcast about the character of Din Djarin and his motivations for the upcoming season.
“Well, we established in The Book of Boba Fett that there was an opportunity for [Din Djarin] to be redeemed, because he had transgressed against the [Mandalorian] Creed by removing his helmet,” he said. “And among his group of Mandalorians, that is something that’s not permitted.”
“Now, we know that there are other groups of Mandalorians where they have different sets of rules,” Favreau continued. “In The Clone Wars, we saw with [The Clone Wars director] Dave [Filoni] and also with the character that I voiced [in that show] that the Mandalorians are very different there. And so these different groups are coming together and we’re going to figure out… the nexus point for all of those communities, of course, is their homeworld from which they’re exiled, which is Mandalore.”
The third season of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney Plus in February 2023 , and next year we will also be able to enjoy Ahsoka , another series from the Star Wars Universe that will star one of the most beloved characters in the franchise.
