Aloy’s adventure and GT driving will get TV series just like God of War, The Last of Us and Twisted Metal.
We know that The Last of Us will premiere its HBO series in 2023 and Twisted Metal advances with new signings . Amazon ‘s God of War series was confirmed in March with The Expanse ‘s creative team , and a few hours ago Sony revealed more adaptations during the talk to investors, specifically Horizon and Gran Turismo.
Horizon Zero Dawn (2017) and Horizon Forbidden West -released in February- from Guerrilla Games form one of the strongest PlayStation licenses in recent years . They narrate the adventures of Aloy in a land populated by tribes and metallic beasts. His interest in learning more about the ancient world and his relics will reveal secrets that he had not imagined, while the second part delves deeper into the sci-fi elements and introduces new threats. The first game surpassed 20 million copies sold .
The Horizon series will be distributed on Netflix , a video platform that has many video game adaptations such as Castlevania , Dragon’s Dogma , Minecraft , Resident Evil , Cuphead or Arcane , among others.
The Gran Turismo competition also makes the leap to the series
More curious may be the Gran Turismo license , the veteran Polyphony Digital driving simulator that received Gran Turismo 7 in March . The game itself has no plot, but the truth is that almost 10 years ago a film was proposed that would follow the story of the Spaniard Lucas Ordóñez, the first winner of GT Academy: the evolution of a young video game fan who ends up becoming a pilot professional. Of course the story of this series can be completely different and focus more on the rivalry between drivers and teams, as seen in the movies Rush and Ford v Ferrari .At the moment no platform has been announced for this adaptation.
