Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been officially announced by BioWare, this is the title of the fourth installment of the series, with other details revealed.
BioWare today announced Dragon Age: Dreadwolf , the title of the fourth installment of the famous series in development for a long time, together with the logo and with a special message from the BioWare team explaining some details about the game in progress.
Dreadwolf, or Dragon Age 4 in all respects, will not be released in 2022: the developers have clearly reported that the game needs even more time to reach maturity and will not be able to launch it during this year, but apparently “we’re getting closer to the next adventure,” reportedly.
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is therefore the official name of Dragon Age 4, and BioWare has also published a first introduction of the origins of this title. The Dread Wolf is Solas, who for some is an ancient Elven god, but others say no.
Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity—a player of dark and dangerous games.
Solas’s name, the developers say, suggests a broad spectrum of endless possibilities for how the new game’s story will unfold, but BioWare reiterates that players will still be at the center of it all.

On the other hand, it seems that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is considered a chapter rather detached from the previous ones, thus allowing everyone to be able to follow the new story without necessarily having to recover the previous chapters.
Obviously there will be many connections and the reference universe is always that of the three previous chapters, however the narration will be set up in such a way as to be able to accommodate even players who have not tried the games released previously.
More information on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will arrive in the coming months, as explained by BioWare:
We suspect you have questions and they’ll be answered in time. While the game won’t be releasing this year, we’re growing closer to that next adventure. Rest assured, Solas is placing his pieces on the board as we speak. That’s all we have for now, but we hope knowing the official title has sparked some intrigue, as we’ll be talking more about the game later this year!
Dragon Age 4 was reportedly halfway through production last February , so the road is still quite long. The new game will feature characters who, according to the developers, “will have more personality than ever before” .
