Sony has not decided to develop Days Gone 2 , but apparently the brand has survived and the manufacturer intends to take advantage of the great interest in IP. The corporation is to develop a film in which “Sam Heughan” was given the lead role.
Deadline editors got very hot information for all Days Gone fans. As you know, Sony did not agree to the creation of Days Gone 2, but the film branch of Sony PlayStation Productions is to work on the movie “Days Gone”.
The production is set to feature Sam Heughan, who you may know from the series “Outlander”, and the script is being developed by Sheldon Turner – winner of the Golden Globe for the story “In the Clouds”.
The journalist mentions that Turner’s story is meant to be “a love ballad for movies about motorcycles.” Heughan is, of course, set to play Deacon St. John. Jennifer Klein and Turner are producing through their production company Vendetta Productions, while Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan will develop the project on behalf of Sony PlayStation Productions.
The situation is certainly interesting because we could have thought that the Days Gone brand was gone – maybe there is even a chance for IP to come back and a decent adventure in this unique world on PS5 and PC? Hope remains.
It is worth recalling that Sony is working on the movie “Ghost of Tsushima” , and next year we will see the series “The Last of Us“. The producer also confirmed the transfer of “God of War”, “Horizon” and “Gran Turismo” to small and large screens.
