Netflix and Ubisoft are collaborating to create a TV series dedicated to the Assassin’s Creed saga . However, during the Ubisoft Forward, the French company shared some new details.
It has been said that the Netflix show dedicated to Assassin’s Creed is still in the early stages of development , but Ubisoft can confirm that the Ubisoft Film and Television teams and, of course, that of Netflix are behind the work.
Additionally, the two studios are helped by Jeb Stuart , who plays the role of show runner. Stuart is known as a writer, executive producer and showrunner of Vikings: Valhalla, but also of many famous films such as Blood Done Sign My Name, Die Hard, The Fugitive and more.
Ubisoft defines the Assassin’s Creed TV series as ” epic and multi-genre “. It will be a “live-action adaptation of the videogame series”. Unfortunately we are not told exactly in which historical period of the saga this TV series will be set: the adventures of the Assassins range from ancient Greece to the industrial revolution and beyond, with even some hints of the World Wars as the players of Syndicate will remember.
Let’s not forget that the Assassin’s Creed saga is based on the present, with Abstergo trying to obtain the secrets of the Assassins with their own technology. The possibilities are therefore endless.
